The Knicks came into tonight's game against the Magic in Orlando as 8-point favorites. The Knicks were hot right out of the gate, making 24 3-pointers and blowing out the Magic by over 20 points. The Knicks are now 2-0 on the season, including a thrilling double overtime win against the Celtics at an electric Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. No coach has more impact on their team's success than Knick's coach Tom Thibodeau. After making the playoffs last year, expectations are higher this year and the Knicks have met them thus far. Consistency will be key as to whether or not they're able to avoid the play-in game and be one of the top seeds in the NBA's Eastern Conference playoff bracket.

The Nets are precisely the opposite of the Knicks. They almost feel like a coach-less team. Kyrie Irving even made a comment last year implying that the Nets don't even need a coach. The Nets' success depends on whether or not Kevin Durant and James Harden play well. They're your typical modern NBA team; A couple of super stars and some role players. The Nets trailed the 76ers until the fourth quarter, in which Durant and Harden carried the team to a come from behind victory. That's really the only formula when you have a team built around a couple of super stars. That's been proven as the only way to to win a championship in today's NBA. Can the Knicks in a championship? I'd like to think so, but probably not. Do the Knicks embody the word "team" far more than the Brooklyn Nets? Undoubtedly.
